Education
Urban Impact, in partnership with Castle Rock Community Church, provides a supplemental educational opportunity for the youth of our neighborhood through Tuesday night homework help. Our partnership with KIPP Central City Academy and New Orleans College Prep, two local schools, has allowed us to hand out flyers about our homework help which provides a safe environment for students to work on homework, ask questions and experience the love of Jesus.
Students are then directed downstairs to junior high youth night where they are able to hear the gospel message.
Urban Impact Leadership Academy
Urban Impact Leadership Academy closed after three years of educating with students from the neighborhood. In our final year, we helped several students get up to appropriate grade levels before transferring into public schools and had one student graduate. We were blessed to have so many wonderful teachers and volunteers locally and such a great team of financial and prayer partners nationally. We look forward to seeing how God will continue to allow us to be part of educating the youth of our neighborhood going forward.
