Castle Rock, Yellow House, and Our Future Home! We have purchased an entire block on Claiborne Avenue on which we will build our new ministry center.  Keep checking this website for additional information. Currently our facilities consist of “Castle Rock” and the “Yellow House”. Castle Rock is a former bank building that was purchased in 1995 and renovated over the course of 3 years with gifts and work teams from all across the United States. We moved into this facility in the spring of 1998 and it houses all of our offices, programs and Castle Rock Community Church. Located at 1529 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, we are in the heart of the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana and in an area that is exploding with renovation and the renaissance of what was once a blighted and forgotten part of our city.

The “Yellow House” is a large, 2 story residence that was purchased in 1998, completely renovated over the next 3 years and moved into during the summer of 2001. This facility is home for our interns and also where we house work teams that come to assist us in the ministry in the neighborhood. The “Yellow House” also gets used for Sunday School, Bible studies, board meetings and as a place for our college age students to study and access the internet.

Location of our Future Home Central to our vision is a state-of-the-art ministry center that will afford us the necessary space to move on with bringing transformation to the Central City.   The Ministry Center will include: 1. A high school-quality gymnasium that will facilitate recreational leagues, youth club activities, large group meetings, and high school basketball games. 2. Classrooms for our present education programs and future K-6 elementary school. 3. Meeting rooms that will be used for current and new programming, easily accessible to our neighbors, and available for community use. 4. A large multi-purpose room that can be used as the sanctuary for Castle Rock Community Church and other large assemblies. 5. Offices that will house the staff of Urban Impact Ministries and Castle Rock Community Church. Along with the benefits of expanded programming is the revitalization that will come to the neighborhood.  As we take a blighted area of Central City and transform it with an attractive new facility, we will also be bringing transformation to the lives of those whom this facility will impact.
